Top plastic packaging manufacturer seeks a Factory Engineer. Oversee the production and engineering functions of the factory. All duties would take place in this context. The person must be capable of the following: Production Achieving production efficiencies of 80+%Optimising shift timesOptimising machine usageOptimising Production ProcessProduction reporting Maintenance Ensuring maximal machine uptimeProactive maintenance schedulingSLA management with vendorsMaintenance BudgetingMaintenance reportingOccupational Health and SafetyHousekeeping rules Customer Service Regularly visit customers to ensure satisfactionAddress quality issues Leadership Staff RecruitmentStaff DevelopmentCreating a positive work climate Key Job Deliverables (First 6-12 Months): General engineering function of plastic packaging plant Maintenance practices audited and improvements implemented Plant efficiency of at least 85% Background work experience 5+ years experience in the plastic production environment 2+ years experience in a management role BSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering ECSA professional registration advantageous Proven track record in plant maintenance (we will check references) Strong interpersonal skills and team player Personality Summary: Moderate Driver - Ambitious, Results Orientated Go-getter. Self Starter. Makes things happen. Moderate Analytical - Strong with analysis, metrics, data and fact based decision making.
