The projects and daily operational activities that we undertake are challenging and place high demand on experience, creativity, and team work.Within this role you will gain practical knowledge of the financial services industry and further develop key skills in the design, development, review, testing, and support stages of the implementation lifecycle.In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:  Design, develop, test, & support the implementation of features upon the pControl platform. Learn core business principles in funds processing. Design and document solutions to satisfy both internal and client requirements. Configure the pControl application using the pControl configuration layer and internal domain specific language.  Design and develop workflows using both Python and pControl DSL frameworks. Data analysis and enrichment to support processing requirements. Support clients during the implementation through to production. Undertake analysis and investigation of issues. Release management of both implementation and production releases. The technical skills, knowledge and qualification required for this role are summarised below: Knowledge and experience in programming/structured development techniques Database querying skills (SQL - PostgreSQL preferred)  Demonstrable Python experience within a commercial environment (at scale)  Appreciation / knowledge of business systems architecture, system administration, and implementation projects Experience in unit testing, creating and executing test case scenarios Enthusiasm and passion for Agile development techniques Proven experience working within a structured development environment. Working with high-volume large-scale systems.  Appreciation of financial systems in a production environment  Deployment of development work into production At least years' development experience using a structured programming language Systems analysis and problem solving Bachelor's in IT related field required Master's degree preferred  Personal Attributes: Self-motivated and highly organised; ready to take ownership of problems and issues as required Ability to work in a flexible manner and adapt to the dynamics of the implementation, meeting deadlines under pressure  Outgoing, analytical, and inquisitive by nature Adopts a can-do attitude to challenging tasks Highly effective written and verbal communication skills Enjoys working in a dynamic, challenging, and sociable environment At BNY Mellon, our inclusive culture speaks for itself.
