About the job SA Water is seeking an Operations Improvement Manager to lead process and performance improvement initiatives across our operations statewide. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in identifying improvement opportunities, implementing waste elimination strategies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement to achieve enhanced operational outcomes and increased customer satisfaction. In addition, your responsibilities will include: Prioritise safety above all else, ensuring compliance with WHS procedures and promoting a culture of safety. Lead a team of Efficiency Coordinators to drive awareness of continuous improvement methodologies and embed them into operational practices. Act as a subject matter expert, leading and supporting the implementation of lean principles, practices and continuous Improvement methodologies throughout the Operations and Maintenance groups to improve operational efficiency. Undertake diagnostics and process flow mapping to independently identify strengths and opportunities. Use the insights to develop a roadmap of value-enhancing initiatives in line with business objectives. Coaching and coordinate bottom up KPI target setting including monitoring and maintaining continuous improvement reporting with Process Owners and establishing future state Improvement Plans. Collaborate with leaderships and key stakeholders to provide expertise on lean principles and practices, supporting improvement initiatives and ensure benefits realisation. Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement. Develop and implement training plans tailored to the needs and aspirations of team members. Tracking and measuring progress towards lean goals, and continuously seeking opportunities for improvement. Monitor progress and drive improvement delivery against strategic plans. Your success in this role will come from: Tertiary qualifications in engineering, management, or equivalent proven experience. Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in developing transformation strategies and supporting implementation plans. Proven experience in implementing waste elimination strategies (e.g., LEAN/Agile/5S) in an operational context. Strong interpersonal skills, with- the ability to drive change by influencing and persuading stakeholders at all levels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional presentation abilities to influence outcomes. Strong financial and data Analysis to assess performance.
