The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme for Australia's 800,000+ registered health practitioners. We are seeking applications for a Policy and Project officer to join our Psychology team. The role will support the Psychology Board of Australia in their policy and standards development and management of key projects. Working as part of the Strategy and Policy team, the Policy and Project Officer will contribute by researching professional matters and undertaking appropriate stakeholder consultation in order to prepare registration standards and professional codes, standards, guidelines and policy which meet the Psychology Board's requirements. Ahpra requires all employees to comply with Ahpra policies, including our Flexible working policy . This is a full-time, fixed term position up to 31 October 2025 (approximately 18 months) with a preference to be located in our Melbourne office. While your Project Management skills are strong, it is your ability to conceptualise an array of information and provide the Psychology Board with concise and professional briefings and reports, that will be key to your success. You can read more in the attached role description: Policy and Project Officer Psychology (CL6) - July 21 In this role you will: Provide advice to the National Board for the development of policy, standards, codes and guidelines. Contribute to the development and provision of consistent and high-quality advice on governance matters to the National Board, its committees and advisory groups. Preparation of agenda and policy papers, briefings and correspondence for the National Board and Executive Officer. Work with the Senior Policy and Project Officer, Psychology to manage key projects for the National Board. Develop and maintain relationships with all National Board members through the provision ofaccurate advice on regulatory, governance and procedural aspects and actively seek and respond to feedback about the provision of regulatory, governance and policy services. Work with the Senior Policy and Project Officer, Psychology in the development of strategy and planning in the context of the NRAS Strategy and Health Profession Agreement. Identify and recommend improvements to processes, systems and procedures in governance and policy services.
