Due to their continued growth and market expansion, this role been created for a high-profile Senior Corporate Accountant reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller.

ABOUT THE ROLE: Reporting to an entrepreneurial and highly influential Group Financial Controller, this Senior Corporate Accountant is a highly visible and crucial role. You will be play a central role in driving transformation of the finance function, delivering end of month reporting for the group of companies, meeting statutory reporting obligations, taxation and external audit. You will be exposed to a variety of projects and your success will be measured on your ability to adapt quickly to a fast paced ever changing environment.

The purpose of the role is to assist the Group Financial Controller by building a best-of-breed technical finance function thus enabling commercially responsible decision making. This is a critical role to assist in driving the business through its aggressive growth phase through the building of strong foundations supported with a strong process and controls framework.

As the Senior Corporate Accountant, you will support the Group Financial Controller's remit in ultimate accountability for risk management across the company. Critical to the role will be developing a "Vision" for superior service in finance. This will involve driving automation and creating efficiencies in back-office processes. The key success factor will be your ability to business partner with the leadership team through the development of performance targets and delivery of business results.

This role not only requires an excellent technical and analytical mind but also someone that can think outside of the box and not be afraid to challenge the status quo.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to a high performing Group Financial Controller and working closely with the senior leadership team, your key responsibilities will include:

Assist Group Financial Controller in coordinating year-end closing process. Support the external audit process (both interim and year end). Manage group consol entries including GL and IC reconciliations, AASB16 journals, etc. Prepare statutory financial statement, including all required disclosures. Manage the process of Annual Income Tax return, liaising with external tax advisers. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: You are CA/CPA qualified with a strong passion for business and financial management. Beyond a high performance and outstanding career profile, you have a burning desire for supporting growth through effective business partnering and commercial decision support. You will bring to the role strong knowledge of AASB standards and local taxation regime/rules. The ideal candidate is an experienced finance professional and is confident engaging in discussions with senior executives.
