Lady Davidson is seeking an enthusiastic Patient Service Assistant / Transport Officer on a Full Time basis. You will join a great team and working culture within our Hospital. About us: Lady Davidson Private Hospital is a 115 bed Private hospital Located in North Turramurra Set on the edge of the beautiful Ku-ring-gai National Park, Lady Davidson specialising in orthopaedics, cancer/oncology and neuro-spinal rehabilitation,

Established in 1920, we have a long and distinguished history of providing health service for veterans and private patients.

Your Role: 

As a Patient Service Assistant / Transport Officer you will be deployed throughout the hospital to provide non-clinical support to the nursing team including: patient lifting; patient transportation to and from other Hospitals; restocking supplies; collection & delivery of equipment & specimens. 

 

The Service operates is Monday to Friday 8:30am to 16:36pm

· You will combine your passion for patient centred care and take pride in an environment which is encouraging, warm and welcoming for our staff, patients and doctors. Your role will include but is not limited to the following: 

· Providing transportation of patients in beds, trolleys and wheelchairs in a safe manner treating all with respect and dignity at all times

Maintaining cleanliness of equipment to meet infection control requirements

Delivering effective internal courier service

· Providing outstanding customer experience and ensure quality of service

Your Capabilities · Previous experience working in a patient related environment

· Knowledge of manual handling principles and techniques and ability to perform manual handling activities

· Ability to cope with the physical demands of constant manual handling

· Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team as well as independently

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to manage multiple tasks in an organised manner Valid Class C Australian Driver's License
