Are you a passionate and engaging teacher who would like to make a difference in the lives of young people? YES!
A senior secondary college in Alice Springs is looking for a Food and Technology teacher, in addition to generalist, PE and Humanities teachers to inspire students to achieve. You will work in a college that is flexible and responsive to the diverse needs of each of its students in Years 10, 11 and 12. As part of a strong educational team, you will teach beside dedicated specialist teachers offering a range of courses whilst striving for excellence in a culturally responsive framework of relationship-based teaching and learning.
The school holds high expectations for their students whilst building positive learning partnerships to support all
learners. Working in close partnership with Charles Darwin University (CDU), the school offers students a number of
career pathways for them to explore as well as strong community connections to support learners transition to work.
The school supports learners aspiring to explore further education through a strong focus on data informed case
management to ensure leaners achieve their goals.
A familiarity with relationship-based teaching and learning would be an asset.
This is a full-time position for Term 2, 2024 with a strong possibility to extend. If you are hoping for a longer contract, please let us know as various lengths will be considered.

The school will provide the following benefits-
Salary between $81,739 and $117,225 Accommodation Relocation to the region from the applicants nearest Australian capital city to Alice Springs. Relocation allowance: $620 (single) or $857 (with dependents) per fortnight for 6 pays (if relocating for an extended time and not requiring accommodation) Negotiable contract start and length, pay through school holidays depending on start date Employment Assistance Program

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess and/or demonstrate:
TRBNT registration and ochre card (or ability to obtain one) Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in education Comprehensive knowledge of the mathematics curriculum The capacity to differentiate and cater for different learning needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Good administrative skills Ability to build and maintain relationships with students, colleagues and community
Desirable
A familiarity with relationship-based teaching and learning
