Executive Assistant & Team Leader - Financial MarketsJob Description Permanent role Sydney based role Opportunity to support the Managing Director in the Financial Markets Leadership Team and lead the broader Business Support Team How will I help? Financial Markets delivers Debt Markets, Foreign Exchange andmodities products and services to our core retail, business, corporate and institutional clients. The teambines powerful market and industry insight with a deep understanding of our customers to create tailored solutions. This role will provide one-on-one support to a GM1 Managing Director in the Financial Markets Leadership team and will lead the broader Business Support team, consisting of team members who perform team coordinator support for the Australian Financial Markets (FM) business. You will provide the expected EA-type support, including but not limited to calendar and inbox management, proactive issues and oues management, forward planning, travel, administration, systems, and relationship management. You will also coordinate key leadership team meetings, including the preparation of agendas and presentation material, and collate documents/packs to support daily meetings. As a Team Leader, you will provide leadership to a team of business support staff, ensuring that day-to-day activities are delivered with professionalism, proficiency, consistency, and in a timely manner. You will also strengthen the strong culture of collaboration and support across the team, ensuring team members can effectively prioritise workflow and delivery for the betterment of FM as a whole. You will: Identify opportunities for process simplification, standardisation, and automation, and to develop clear and consistent processes Identify opportunities for formal and informal development to support the professionalisation of roles within the business support function Attract and retain key talent and identify development pathways for team members looking to progress Assist with reporting and monitoring of FMpliance requirements to attain 100%pliance each financial year Maintain relevant administrative records for FM What's in it for me? To be successful in this role, you will have substantial experience as an Executive Assistant or Team Coordinator in a similar role within a corporate environment, particularly within the banking and/or financial services industry. Experience in team leadership will be highly regarded but is not essential. You will also have knowledge of Westpac systems, policies and processes. You will have the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure in fast paced environment and excellent stakeholder management skills. Further advantageous skills: Exceptionalmunication skills, both written and verbal Ability to lead and coach staff, including providing feedback and managing performance Sound organisational and time management skills, including diary management skills Self-starter with a proactive, accountable and ability to execute responsibilities with professionalism What is it like to work there?
