PROJECT OFFICEROn behalf of our client, gforce Employment + Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Project Officer to deliver their Seed 2 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) programs in Greater Bendigo.Seed 2 STEM addresses the under-participation of women in STEM careers, especially in the manufacturing sector via two well established programs which promote, support, and encourage careers in the sector for girls and women in regional Victoria.Seed 2 STEM programs include; Girls Leading Advanced Manufacturing (GLAM), an immersion program for Year 9 & 10 girls; and Women in Manufacturing Network (WIMN) Mentoring Program, a 10 month structured mentee-led program for women working in manufacturing or seeking to enter the sector.As the Seed 2 STEM Project Officer you will be responsible for co-ordinating, administering and delivering a range of Seed 2 STEM activities, commencing June 2024 through to the conclusion of the programs in mid-late 2025.What's in it for you?Support and encourage women into non-traditional roles.Work flexible hours/days, part-time 22-30 hours a week.Work from home arrangement.Laptop supplied.Your key responsibilities will also include:Working on the program to achieve the project objectives and outcomes.Carrying out project administration duties, recruiting participants to the program and co-ordinating appropriate events and activities schedule.Liaising with and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.Carrying out marketing, communications and business development activities to promote the S2S programs to customers and key stakeholders.Participation in S2S steering committee meetings.Creating good working relationships with trading companies, partners, schools/education facilities, members and the wider business community.Your skills and experience will include:A broad knowledge of manufacturing organisations and roles in the Bendigo region.Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work autonomously.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Experience in career pathway development for secondary students would be an advantage.Highly developed networking and relationship building skills.Strong organisational skills.High level of computer literacy.Ability to work remotely to timelines and budgets.The position would ideally suit someone with a background in education or group training, however experience in project or events management could also be an advantage.A current driver's licence, police check and WWCC is also required.For more information about the Seed 2 STEM programs and/or a detailed position description please contact Peter Rowe, Recruitment Services Manager via ****** or 0457 111 296.To apply for this position please submit your cover letter and resume via the 'APPLY' button.gforce is an employment and recruitment leader, employing over 500 people weekly, including labour hire and permanent recruitment services apprentices, trainees, school-based trainees.
