Senior Safety Advisor - Capital Projects

* Be part of a supportive and motivated team culture * Competitive Salary + Superannuation + Range of employee benefits * Enjoy a healthy work life balance in this fixed term role About the role This will be an exciting opportunity for a hands-on safety practitioner to: * Analyse major projects and identify OHS risks and controls, and initiatives to achieve OHS outcomes in projects * Provide subject matter expert advice on internal and statutory approval requirements * Advise on OHS requirements to be included in procurement specifications and support the assessment of responses * Lead the development of risk assessments and Safety Management Plans * Provide expert OHS advice to project managers, contractors and other stakeholders across the organisation in the design, planning, preparation, and delivery of works * Lead and support incident investigations; communicating relevant Safety Alerts and Lessons Learned as required * Champion the Safety First, Zero Injuries culture in Capital Projects and broader Parks Victoria We're looking for someone with: * Demonstrated OHS experience in the construction industry (OHS experience in client-side project delivery will be highly regarded) * Demonstrated experience in managing OHS in built asset projects * Demonstrated experience identifying issues, problem solving, developing innovative, sensitive, and practical solutions, and providing strategic advice to complex issues * Working knowledge and practical application of OHS legislation, regulations, and Australian Standards * A tertiary qualification in OHS or related field Your application will need to include: * A current Resume * A Cover Letter Application Closing date: Sunday, 21 April 2024 About Parks Victoria Parks Victoria's vision is to be a world-class parks service, ensuring healthy parks for healthy people.
