Who are we looking for?We're looking for a Senior Hydrodynamic and Coastal Modeller to join our Environmental Assessment and Approvals team. Our Environmental Assessment and Approvals business has maintained strong growth in recent years and is currently one of the largest groups in WA, being a leader in impact assessment and approvals, terrestrial ecology, marine, air and noise assessments services. Become part of our global network of skilled engineers, scientists, auditors, planners and environmental specialists, all working together to leave this world better than we found it.Our pledge to youJoin GHDWorking with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Interacting with engineers and approvals specialists to provide innovative solutions to marine and aquatic ecological issues. Analysing met-ocean/oceanographic and water quality data. Undertaking three-dimensional hydrodynamic modelling and two-dimensional spectral wave modelling. Undertaking numerical modelling for dredging, waste water discharges and oil spills. Supporting our Maritime and Coastal teams in delivering coastal numerical modelling assessments. Provision of environmental advice to clients. Contributing to the preparation and review of high-quality proposals and technical reports. Project management and coordination, collaborating effectively with project stakeholders to ensure successful client experience in project delivery. Marketing including the development and submission of proposals for routine, low risk projects which at times may involve influencing internal and external stakeholders. Communicating effectively with clients, regulators, and subcontractors, providing clear and concise information and recommendations. Coordinating the work of the team, mentoring junior team members, fostering their professional growth and career development. What you will bring to the team: Bachelor's degree qualifications in Environmental Engineering. Experience with numerical modelling software (MIKE software suite preferred). Experienced analyst of met ocean/oceanographic and water quality data. Efficient data management, mathematical and data analysis competencies. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Strong analytical and writing skills, including experience in the preparation of reports for clients and/or regulators. Interested?
