Senior Associate - Workplace Relations, Employment & Safety page is loaded Senior Associate - Workplace Relations, Employment & Safety Apply locations Sydney time type Full time posted on Posted Yesterday job requisition id JR-101499 The role Working with Partners Saul Harben and Amanda Lyras , we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our Sydney Workplace Relations, Employment & Safety (WRES) on a permanent, full time basis.

The WRES team successfully represents a strong client base, acting in high profile and high quality matters across both private and public sectors, on all aspects of workplace relations. The matters you will be working on are varied and interesting from general employment law, advising on the employment aspects of corporate transactions, compliance and regulatory matters, discrimination, work, health and safety, whistleblowing, modern slavery, industrial relations advice and disputation and litigation across most Courts and Tribunals.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

At least 5 years' post admission experience as a lawyer

Proven experience working across a diverse range of employment matters

Demonstrated a capability to work autonomously as well as a team member to manage a robust and diverse workload

Experience in supervision and developing junior staff

A high degree of initiative, dedication and organisational ability with a strong client and commercial focus

Strong communication skills and practical problem solving skills

A desire to develop and participate in business development initiatives, including seminars and publishing articles

A proactive attitude towards personal development to expand your skills and knowledge to meet client needs

Litigation experience and experience advising public sector (as well as private sector) clients is desirable but not essential
