About the role The role provides leadership in relation to quality processes to inform improvement including the effective delivery, development and evaluation of the GH Governance Framework.

The GH Governance and Improvement Lead works with team members in the work group, to support and promote the provision of quality health care that meets the expected standards of safety and quality across all areas of GH. The position will support GH in living a culture of using evidence-based practice to inform sustainability, good governance, enabling an 'always safe' culture.

The GH Governance and Improvement Lead provides leadership in relation to quality processes to inform improvement. The role will provide expert guidance in systems thinking, operational excellence, change management, sustainability, data and analytics, governance, and quality.

 The GH Governance and Improvement Lead works closely with the Director and Assistant Director to develop and implement systems and processes for safe, effective person-centred connected care.

Key Responsibilities Implement and monitor a comprehensive and effective governance framework, consistent with relevant regulatory requirements; lead the periodic organisational review across a number of external accreditation cycles; and the annual review of the Governance FrameworkActively promote, manage and support the use of the GH audit scheduleEnsure quality, integrated systems and processes, which are consistent with legislation, quality and safety, and governance frameworks are embeddedOversee and advise on the functionality and the use of the GH audit platformProvide education and support for GH staff to effectively use the electronic tools.Provide high quality data sets to operational, governance and Board committees to advise and inform about GH quality and safety performanceDevelop and maintain contemporary, evidence-based governance documentation such as policies and proceduresDevelop, and/or contribute to business continuity plans for all aspects of governanceWork collaboratively with GH staff & consumers to ensure systems and processes are in place, which are consistent with best practice, strategic directions, and governance frameworksKEY SELECTION CRITERIA  Qualification as a Registered Professional is essentialRelevant post-graduate qualifications in Quality and Practice Improvement or working towards are preferredProven experience in developing governance frameworks to improve efficiency and practiceExtensive experience in applying systematic thinking to clinical practice across a variety of settings to achieve meaningful outcomesExperience in co-design and partnershipAt Grampians Health, we recognise our staff are our greatest asset.
