The role The role plays a pivotal role in overseeing and guiding a proficient team within the workshop. Their primary responsibility involves supervising the team's activities, ensuring seamless completion of quotations, and effectively managing work in progress. In addition to their supervisory duties, they possess the flexibility to engage in hands-on assembly tasks when necessary.

You will maintain high levels of productivity and quality while motivating and engaging employees to perform at their best. You will need to be adept at identifying and resolving any issues that arise ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety, while ensuring all employees conduct themselves in accordance with our EHS Vision to achieve Zero Harm.

Areas of responsibility Build and maintain strong customer relationshipsMaintain a firm commitment to the quality objectives of the company and adhere to the current Australian standardsCoordination of all warranty claims as per SMCs warranty policies, while contribute to achieving revenue within budgetsCarry out repairs, maintenance, and fault diagnostic work on heavy duty plant equipment as per the appropriate site policesOversee the operation and maintenance of the in the facility & participate and champion site safety and toolbox meetingYour profile The Successful candidate for the Workshop Supervisor role must have strong technical knowledge & leadership skills. In this position, excellent communication skills will be crucial, as you will navigate high-pressure situations with ease, ensuring effective collaboration within the team.
