Manager, Automation and Cloud Engineering - Office of the ED, Enterprise Technology ServicesThe Enterprise Services Unit, Information and Technologies Branch are seeking a confident and collaborative individual to lead the Automation and Cloud Engineering team on a permanent, full-time basis. As the Manager, you will manage and provide leadership across departmental core ICT services including the delivery of major platforms and ICT projects. It is expected you will provide key advice in relation to information management policies and processes within the department, pertaining to projects, operational duties and managed services.

About the Role: Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

Provide advice and support to the Director on major information management/information technology (IM/IT) policies and issues and represent the directorate internally and externally.Contribute to the development and implementation of plans, strategies and procedures relating to cloud platform, automation and messaging services and ensure they are accurately modelled for the achievement of best practice in the utilisation of departmental information resources.Lead the development and implementation of new and improved processes, practices, standards, policies and systems and provide timely and appropriate information and recommendations to support high quality decision making.Contribute to the development of a strategic vision and direction for information technologies within the department and in particular in the area of to cloud platform, automation and messaging servicesProvide leadership and direction to operational teams in respect of information management policies and issues and change management initiatives including risk management, client focus and Quality Assurance (QA) certification.Act independently, within guidelines approved by the Director, on all day to day matters for the delivery of communication and IT services.Manage functions, resources and budgets in an effective and efficient manner.Ensure all management functions are effectively performed including application of equal opportunity principles, occupational health and safety requirements and professional development of staff.Identifies the communications and relationship needs of stakeholder groups.Translates communications/stakeholder engagement strategies into specific activities and deliverables.The Manager, Automation and Cloud Engineering reports to the Director, Enterprise Services, Enterprise Technology Services, Information and Technologies Branch, People and Corporate Services Division.
