JD: PHP Developer - GamenationWe are seeking a talented PHP Developer to join our dynamic team at Gamenation. As a PHP Developer, you will play a crucial role in the development of our gaming e-commerce platform, responsible for managing back-end services and ensuring seamless data interchange between the server and users. Your primary focus will be on the development of robust server-side logic, maintaining our central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests. In addition to your back-end responsibilities, you will collaborate closely with our front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements and ensure a smooth user experience.Responsibilities:Develop efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules to enhance platform functionality.Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges to optimise platform performance.Integrate data storage solutions to ensure seamless data management.Implement secure user authentication and authorization mechanisms across multiple systems and environments.Create and maintain database schemas that support the gaming e-commerce business processes.Implement and adhere to accessibility and security compliance standards.Integrate multiple data sources and databases to provide a unified platform experience.Stay updated on the latest PHP advancements and best practices to continuously improve platform development.Skills and Qualifications:Strong proficiency in PHP Core with a deep understanding of its fully synchronous behaviour.Knowledge of MVC design patterns and object-oriented PHP programming.Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as JavaScript Core/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.Experience with e-commerce platforms and payment gateways is a plus.Strong understanding of database management, particularly MySQL and declarative query languages.Knowledge of common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions.Familiarity with Git.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication and collaboration skills.Application knowledge of Python is a plus, as it can provide additional flexibility in developing certain features or integrations.Job Location - Santhome, Chennai PRB
