Video Editor

VIVA Productions is seeking a full-time Editor (salary with benefits) to work for our company. This is not a remote position and you must work in our main office located in Kingston, Ontario. We are seeking an individual with intermediate professional experience (2-5 years). You are creative, extremely organized, and efficient. You have a high work ethic and thrive on responsibility and the pressure of consistently meeting deadlines. Your customer service and communication skills are outstanding. We are protective of our work culture and are seeking an individual who will be a seamless fit with our fantastic team.Responsibilities:Perform all duties required in the role of Editor. Report directly to the Producer.Editing videos, TV commercials, documentaries.Meet all deadlines and work within given hours to complete projects.Work with clients to tell their stories through the production of various video projectsManagement of all files and our NAS systemHelp develop creative concepts, storyboards and scripts for video, digital content and televisionWork independently and be self-motivated. While also working within a team & take directionCamera Operation knowledge & skills are a bonus skill Academic/Educational Requirements:• Degree or Diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution in the areas of Video, Film, Media, Digital Marketing, or other related fields. Required Skills/Experience:2-5 years of full-time editing experience editing high-end video, TV series or commercialsAmazing organizational skills and the ability to problem solve and work very efficientlyExtensive knowledge of DaVinci Resolve, Adobe CC products, Premiere Pro & After EffectsGreat communication and people skills and can easily work with clients and other team membersStrong understanding of computer requirements for editing, rendering & NAS systemsTime Management Skills.
