JOB BRIEF The role isconcerned with developing streamlined reliable and quality softwareproducts. Requires indepth technical knowledge in softwarearchitecture the job focuses in designing and implementing softwareapplications for Defence Industry. You will be interacting withclients product managers system engineers and software developersto provide designs apply technical standards develop reliable highquality software products and oversee the entire softwaredevelopment process.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESDesign and develop high quality andscalable software applications for MilitarySystems.Provide technical support upon theimplementation of software design according to specifications andrequirements.In line with conceptual design ofthe software contribute in establishing standards templates andguidelines.Support architectural and codereview with the team to ensure the quality clarity and simplicityof the design.Assist in review and validationof software prototypes and recommend improvements whennecessary.Provide technical assistance in theimplementation of a plan for evolutionary paths and tradeoffs forpossible new technology insertion to solve technical problemsdisputes.Identify risk according to strategiesassociated with the architecture.Implementinnovative software with Human Machine Interface (HMI) capabilityin accordance with the design documents and functional requirementsthat efficiently connects the user to thesystem.Assist in creating user manuals duringthe development process to transfer essential knowledge tocustomers and end users.Perform unit andfunctional tests and troubleshoot software application whenevernecessary.Demonstrate design and applicationcompliance according to customersspecifications.Applying Scrum or Kanbanmethodology.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSAND SKILLS A Graduate Degree holderon at least one of the following disciplines: Computer Engineeringor Software Engineering.Certification onApplication Development with Java is aplus.Certification on Application Developmentwith React.JS is a plus.Work ExperienceMinimum 7 years experience in software development with JavaTechnical Competencies BehaviouralCompetencies.ObjectOriented Programming andFrameworks.REST API Microservices ArchitecturegRPC and protocol buffers.Distributed EventStreaming Platforms i.e. KAFKA.Communicationprotocols i.e. TCP UDP HTTP RTSP.NoSQLDatabases i.e. MongoDB.Unit Testingframeworks.Configuration management tools GitBitbucket etc. Containers and orchestration DockersKubernetes.VERTICALENGINEERINGOriginal job Senior Software Engineerposted on GrabJobs .
