VP/Director, Investment Banking (Issuer Coverage) Hiive is a fintech/marketplace startup connecting buyers and sellers of stock of pre-IPO companies. Fresh off of a Series A led by tier one investors, we are seeking ambitious professionals to join our high performing team.  As a  VP or Director of Investment Banking (Issuer Coverage),  you will report directly to the CEO and be the most senior member of our Issuer Development Team responsible for pitching and landing business from C-Suite executives at some of the world's highest-profile venture-backed companies. From generating the initial lead to fostering the relationship to securing and managing the mandate, you will be involved at every stage of the customer lifecycle. In this role, your responsibilities would include:  Work with the CEO to develop and refine our message to the management teams of highly valued startups.  Supervise the creation of pitch decks with a customized message and angle for each target account.  Leverage existing points of contact gained through our Capital Markets and Execution Services businesses to deepen and expand issuer relationships.  Attend and lead pitch calls and presentations. "Close the deal" and then manage formal mandate negotiations. Project-manage actual mandates and engagements, acting as the issuer relationship's point of contact while coordinating with Hiive's Capital Markets and Execution Services teams to deliver a smooth, seamless, unsurpassed experience.  Provide ongoing coverage and relationship management during and between mandates.  Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and reputation. Eventually, build out and independently lead the Issuer Development team at Hiive.  Ideal Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in one of a) enterprise account development at a successful high growth startup, b) TMT investment banking, or corporate development at a successful high growth startup. Proven track record of successfully pitching and closing deals with late-stage venture-backed companies, including IPOs, acquisitions, or equity/debt financings. Strong network of relationships with executives at late-stage companies, unicorns, and related stakeholders. Exceptional negotiation, written/verbal communication, and presentation skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and pursue high-value opportunities. High energy, driven, and results-oriented mindset. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing complex projects. Highly competitive salary, commensurate with experience and contribution.
