- Manage the RAMS activities in accordance with QCD commitments on the tender(s)/project(s)/program(s) allocated to the Platform
- Ensure the deployment of corresponding Railway Safety instructions and processes applicable to their Platform
- Support the Platform performance by ensuring RAMS requirements are identified upstream allowing to :
- enhance their capability to meet the expected RAM targets
- reach an acceptable level of risks as per the Alstom Transport Safety policy
- Manage and develop the RAMS Team on their Platform
- Manage the RAMS workload for their Platform
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the RAMS Métier
- Develop the Platform RAM & Safety culture inside the Platform towards other Métiers/Departments.
- Continuous improvement of the RAMS team performance for tender/project/program RAMS activities (On Time Delivery, etc…)
- Respect of QCD commitments
- Safety Design Reviews performed on time and documented
- Ensure the covering of Safety and RAM activities for all projects, R&D programs and Tenders
- Workload management
- People Management cycle on time / Succession plan
- Regular reporting to the management and alert in case of issue affecting the performance of the team.
- Supporting the other stakeholders (design, industrial, sourcing, quality, T&C, etc...) in the understanding of the RAMS processes and actions in particular with regards to the interfaces in between the teams.
- According to the Platform RAMS team size and workload, taking the role of System/Infrastructure RAMS team member on one or several projects/program/tenders.
- Supporting the Platform in identifying railway safety related regulation
- Supporting the Transport Safety Council for regulation, standard and ad-hoc committee in the area of Railway Safety.
- Applying and follow-up the People Management Cycle on time for her/his team according to HR instructions. 6. Having a pro-active challenging view on the overall RAMS results of the studies performed by the Platform RAMS team to enhance their adequacy/consistency and compliance to the Railway Safety instructions and processes.
- Providing feedback to S&I RAMS Director on the application of the Railway Safety instructions and processes. 8. Ensuring that the actions of communication / awareness on railway safety (internally or externally) are done.
- 9.Implementing an organisation to ensure the proper management of the RAMS activities of the tenders/projects/programs under the responsibility of the Platform as per the applicable RAMS instructions/processes.
- 10. Contributing to the continuous improvement of the Alstom Transport performance by ensuring the application of the RAMS process and tools enhance the level re-use of the studies and optimise the amount of engineering hours spent on projects.
- 11. Ensuring the proper follow-up of the QCD RAMS Work packages for the Platform.
- 12. Supporting the RAMS team in the resolution of issues in particular those involving other stakeholders (internal or external) and to support them in the definition of priorities.
- 13. Ensuring the RAMS performance of the Platform is properly managed on each project/program/tender and follow-up the main open RAMS actions for "at risk"/challenging projects/programs/tenders.
- 14. Ensuring the Safety Design Reviews are prepared and documented as per the project/program/tender schedule and to follow-up the main open actions.
- 15. Ensuring a safety leader is appointed for safety issues (K1 8D) relevant for the Platform and contributes to its closure as per RSA-WMS-002.
- 16. Ensuring Return of Experience of projects/programs (product reliability measure, K1 issue ...) from RAMS perspective is properly feedback to the RAMS documentation and/or RAMS processes as applicable.
- 17. Managing the development of the RAMS team to ensure the adequacy of the capacity vs workload vs skills with the support of the S&I RAMS Director.
- 18. Ensuring adequate RAMS resources are appointed to the Platform projects/programs/tenders.
- 19. Managing the forecast of the team workload, based on hypotheses provided by the S&I RAMS Director and identifying necessary resources to secure project QCD commitments.
- 20. Alerting the S&I RAMS Director in case of team issue in terms of capacity, skills etc…
- 21. Ensuring the Alstom Transport Railway Safety instructions and processes applicable to the Platform are understood and applied by the Platform Safety team.
- Advanced University Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of successful experience as a RAMS/Safety Manager within different industries (Aerospace, defense, Space, Military, Nuclear, Chemical) including railways.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the Railway business. Detailed knowledge of the Products or Services developed within the Platform-s/system.
- Minimum 3 years of experience of international projects.
- Successful experience in managing teams.
- Successful experience in working in a multi-site, multi-cultural environment.
- Internal recognition of expertise.
- Experience in converting safety strategy into actionable items.
