SummaryMonitors and replenishes all pharmaceutical stock items with assurance that re-order point process is carried out on timely manner, items reaching safety stock level are regularly expedited and alternate products/brands are professionally evaluated/accepted in coordination with Purchasing Services and end-user/s to avoid critical stock situation.Essential Responsibilities and Duties1. Reviews stock levels and replenishment details by verifying the Average Monthly Usage (AMU), stock on hand (system/physical) and product expiry dates to ensure that re-ordering process is carried out effectively and efficiently.2. Reviews Safety Stock and Zero Stock Reports regularly to ensure that all activities on the listed items are timely monitored and actions are appropriately taken. Shares information with Manager, Pharmaceutical Planning for critical stocks.3. Reviews the Excess Stock/Slow/Non-Moving Items/KFSH Short Dated and Item Consumption Reports on a regular basis and takes appropriate measures i.e. updates forecasting information, and reports excess/short-dated items to the Manager, Pharmaceutical Planning for necessary action.4. Coordinates with other Organizations to cover zero/ critical stock by either loan or exchange thru Hospitalsharing program.5. Coordinates with Receiving/Warehousing and concerned departments to accept/reject/ pharmaceutical items or resolve issues/problems arising from Unit of Measure (UOM), Brand change, quantity, expiration date, etc.6. Follows-up items under Return/Disposal sub-inventories with inventory controller to ensure the subject transaction is completed on real time bases and prepares the documents for request the replacement for the items with Guarantee letters or under Agreements.7. Initiates necessary change order/revise delivery schedule requests to meet the requirements according to the increase/decrease in item's usage.8. Coordinates with Pharmaceutical Care Services for the availability of alternate brand/manufacturer to maximize the purchase through NUPCO, GCC Tender and Local Agreements.9. Participates in physical inventory/cycle counts of stocks as required.10. Assists Planning and Inventory Control Department in providing training to new employees or trainees.EducationMaster's or Pharm.D./Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required.Experience RequiredGrade 09:Two (2) years of related experience with Master's, or four (4) years with Pharm.D./Bachelor's Degree is required.Grade 10:Four (4) years as Senior Pharmaceutical Planner, or (Grade 09) related experience is required.Average of annual performance appraisal at least (3.5) for the last four (4) years.One hundred (100) hours of cumulative continued medical education (CME).Other Requirements(Certificates)Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.
