About Calo Launched in Bahrain in November of 2019, Calo is on a mission to make healthy easy. We're a team of dedicated people driving this mission by providing better, faster, and cheaper ways to access food through technology. Role overview To function as the Cafe Supervisor and ensure all sections operate successfully in accordance to company standards while using efficient and modern styles of management in daily operations. The successful candidate will employ their coffee knowledge and managerial skills to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers' satisfaction. Main Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of the cafeEnsure that the cafe operates in a timely manner that meets our quality standardsResourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situationHire, manage and train staff, while establishing working schedule, and assessing staff's performanceMaintain accurate and updated records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expensesMust be able to clearly communicate tasks to team membersOrder supplies to stock inventory appropriately and add new menu items based on seasonality if neededEnsure precise attention to customers' order specifications.Maintain a positive environment in the unit and ensure the utmost quality of service to the customers while presenting Calo's culture and valuesCollaborate with customers to address their needs and complaints, and quickly resolve any issuesObtain customers' feedback to make informed business decisions and meet their needsComply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standardsMaintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers Ideal Candidate Qualifications: Must have had a minimum of 3 years of previous experience in reputed cafes as a Cafe SupervisorMust have had previous experience in reputed cafes as a baristaMust have had experience providing training to team membersMust be a proficient communicator in both English and Arabic Ideal Knowledge and competency: Ability to assist customers with menus and ingredient questions.Adequate coffee knowledge and different coffee mixturesAbility to differentiate coffee aromas, and their tasteExtensive hands-on experience with professional coffee machinesExceptional proven ability in management with experience in leading teams.Ability to divide responsibilities between team members and monitoring progressOutstanding communication and leadership skillsA good understanding of Google Drive and the ability to learn new programs like Slack & Notion.Ability to communicate effectively, both in verbal and written formExceptional customer service skills Ideal Personality: Strong communicatorPleasant personality and able to lead with empathyHonest
