Become part of our global network of skilled engineers, scientists, auditors, planners, and environmental specialists, all working together to leave this world better than we found it.Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:Assist in completing existing and new projects.Ensure accurate completion of project deliverables and be able to lead several projects at once and determine priorities, including sound judgment and decisiveness.Produce engineering drawings, details and specifications from conception to final design, according to established standards and procedures for a wide variety of steel and concrete structures.Work in Design Bid Build and Design Build environments to advance design packages by providing valuable design solutions in conformance with operator requirements and client/end user specifications.Supervise CAD staff, preparation of construction specifications tender and contract packages, and conduct site inspections of existing structures as well as those under construction.Communicate and work with other project team members to provide quality service to clients to ensure that all documentation conforms to client/company standards.Lead technical discussions and efforts in Ontario (and possibly in North America) to improve structural design implementation delivery and efficiency through streamlining design tools, software, procedures, and specifications.Assist in preparation of effective proposals seeking targeted project opportunities.Develop and implement QA/QC processes for project work.What you will bring to the team:

Bachelor's degree in civil or Structural EngineeringLicensed Professional Engineer in OntarioMinimum 10-15 years of diverse structural engineering experience with a focus on facility design type projectsExcellent understanding of structural systems and practical design experience of designing process-driven facilities, water/earth retaining structures, pre-engineered buildings and their foundations, shallow and deep foundation systems, to name a few.Conversant with National building Code of Canada - NBCC and provincial building codes, CSA codes for design of steel, concrete, masonry and wood structuresAbility to develop designs to stay in sync with project specific output.Ability to take ownership and accountability for completed work.Strong influencing skills and the ability to develop effective and trustworthy relationships both with project teams and within the organization.Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.Strong digital literacy including experience in structural analysis and design software such as SAP 2000, S-FRAME and ROBOT and MS OfficePositive attitude, good interpersonal skills, and validated time management and organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsThe following skills would be considered an asset for this position:Project management skills and budget and schedule controlsKnowledge of BIM 360 and REVITAs a diverse and inclusive organization, we encourage individual achievement and recognize the strength of a diverse workforce.
