The IT manager is responsible for all Information and Technology related aspects of the MLP business. This does include but is not limited to Hardware and software, own and 3rd party systems and a compliant, safe working environment for our employees. - The role requires good knowledge in end user applications such as RF terminals, Lap-Tops, computers, printers and others.
- Software experience for Microsoft based applications.
- Logistics specific operations and services such as WMS, TMS, OMS
- Establish and manage a 24 h on site help desk.
- Determines roles & responsibilities of team within scope to achieve business objectives.
- Responsible for mentoring, coaching and performance review feedback; conducting disciplinary actions, and interviewing new work force candidates.
- Develop talent and encourage leadership growth amongst employees.
- Drives delivery of the site communication and engagement plans.
- Drive the local Employee Relations Strategy and the approach on works council/trade unions/ employee forum.
- Ensures team is aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations by engaging the right functions to deliver trainings as needed.
- Enable an equal and diverse working environment.
- Build strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with intern and external customers on Tech related implementation projects.
- Translate contractual obligations into operational tasks.
- Work with relevant teams on new customer implementation HSE, Security & Business Resilience
- Be aware of and comply with applicable legislation, customer requirements, the HSSE & BR policies.
- Ongoing risk assessment for safe operations
- Ensure all incidents and near misses are reported and investigated and their root cause eliminated.
- Maintain an Emergency Response Plan and provide the required equipment for such scenarios.
- Communicate to and train employees in HSSE processes, equipment and how to carry out their role safely ensuring training records are in place.
- Ensure audit and review places are available for HSSE.
- Coordinates logistics activities with all other functions of the site and suppliers to obtain optimal production and utilization of resources.
- Oversight of shipping/receiving, picking/packing, unloading, sorting, segregating, palletizing, load out, on-time delivery.
- Cost management.
- Responsible for the costs in the dry and ambient area.
- Performance management (cost/utilization).
- Embrace and own continuous improvement processes.
- Establish, monitor and report relevant KPI’s.
- Deep experience in a fast-paced warehousing environment (+10 years)
- Demonstrated expertise in leading warehousing and distribution operations.
- Experience in a 3PL environment supporting multiple customers or lines of business helpful.
- Analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to own, follow through and solve operational issues.
- Demonstrated experience working with customers to improve business operations and results.
- A leader of leaders who can build a strong team.
- People and talent development experience
- Collaboration and influencing skills.
- Strong business communication skills with regards to both verbal and written
- Proficient English and Arabic language skills
- Financial acumen –ability to read, interpret and act on P&L
- Self-directed / entrepreneurial.
