The Generis office is located in Downtown Toronto (Richmond & Bathurst). Key Responsibilities:Production is at the very heart of what we do, and our commitment to each market we service is to develop and deliver world class industry-focused summits. By applying meticulous and rigorous processes at every phase from inception to execution, we ensure our summits are of the highest caliber. We are looking for the right candidate to lead our efforts; an individual possessing all of the requisite attributes, experience and commercial acumen to join the Generis team. As a producer in this challenging environment you will be responsible for working with senior professionals from leading Fortune 1000 companies.Day to Day Tasks Include:75-80% of your role - Agenda Building and Speaker RecruitmentConsistently conduct market research to keep up to date on industry hot topics and trendsDevelop a contact list of potential speakers appropriate for the conference programDevelop a coherent, commercially-driven agenda outline that addresses industry challenges, new technologies, attendee investment areas, and other relevant topicsCreatively reaching out to industry leaders (CEOs, Presidents, VPs, SVPs, etc) through cold-calling, emailing,LinkedIn messaging etc. inviting them to attend as a speakerResponsible for supporting the delegate and sponsorship sales campaignsResponsible for agenda content and copy editsMaintaining speaker recruitment targets and weekly deadlines20-25% of your role - Onsite Execution and Speaker LiaisonGreet speakers upon arrival with utmost professionalismConduct speaker venue and presentation room walk-throughsLiaising with AV service provider on audio and visual staging requirements and communicating this to speakersCreatively problem-solving any speaker related obstacles onsiteConducting post-presentation interviews with speakers for content piecesTo produce our summits from initial conception to final execution requires a passionate, self-motivated and hard working achiever with:University DegreeExceptional research and writing skillsStrong editorial capacityStrong business acumen and commercial awarenessExceptional interpersonal and client-facing skillsExtremely effective communication skillsCopy skillsDetermination to meet production deadlines and deliver resultsProject management experienceValid passport and ability to travel to the USAPrevious events experience a bonus*What's In It For you?Base salary with review periods for growthAnnual bonus based on personal and company performance10 days' vacation + 5 paid personal days, and all business days between Dec 25th - Jan 1st are bonus paid holidays for all staff!Work from home flexibilityBenefits after 3 months + extended mental health and life advice tools and support hubCorporate discount for Goodlife gym membership and flexible lunch hourIncentives and opportunity for travelFast-track to the weekend with Friday's ending at 4:30PMEnd-of-month work socials with lots of foosball, pizza, snacks and drinks in addition to our Summer and Winterannual partiesAdditional Notes: Working hours: Normal business hours are 8.30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Thursday, and 8.30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, with a lunch break for one hour between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.Office Location: The Generis office is located in Downtown Toronto (Richmond & Bathurst).Generis is an equal opportunity employer.
