Senior System Administrator

TALTEK is looking to fill the following position for one of its clients:Permanent - Senior System AdministratorMANDATE SUMMARYOur client is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Systems Administrator to join their team. As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for helping ensure the integrity, efficiency, and excellence of the IT systems during IT Infrastructure project executions.RESPONSIBILITIES· Ensure the availability, continuity, quality and security of services.· Ensure an appropriate level of reliability of technology, operating systems to meet current and future business needs.· Tune system and application performance based on metrics and load requirements.· Perform system and application patching and vulnerability mitigation.· Build procedures and documentation for implemented solutions.· Train IT operations after project implementation is documented and completed.· Identify performance issues.· Strictly maintain team standards to ensure continuity of operations.· Carry out the updates and the various maintenance required.· Contribute to the development of tools and the creation of automation scripts.REQUIREMENTS· Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.· Ability to work under pressure.· 10+ years of experience as a System Administrator.· Experience with AWS solutions architecture.· Knowledge in Azure Administration & Azure fundamentals.· Knowledge in Automation such as Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Python, Ruby, Bash, Azure CLI.· Experience supporting hybrid infrastructures hosted in conventional datacenters and public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platforms.· Experience with security monitoring and system hardening.· Strong knowledge of Networking, Switches, Routers, Access Points.· Strong knowledge of VMware 6.X, vSphere, vMotion Nutanix administration.· Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP, SSL, SNMP services.· Strong knowledge of Windows Server environment installation, server configuration, troubleshooting, virtualization, migration from on-prem to cloud· Strong knowledge in Office 365.· Strong knowledge of Azure AD, On Prem Active Directory, Group Policies.· Strong knowledge of SCCM, AirWatch MDM, JAMPF, Intune and Autopilot, application packaging & deployment.· Strong knowledge of firewall, antivirus, monitoring tools.· Strong knowledge of LINUX is a plus.· Able to participate in on migrations that take place after working hours or on weekends.· Experience working in organizations compliant in security programs such as ISO 2700/27001.· Experience in an Agile environment using JIRA Kanban project tracking methodology.· Rigorous regarding updating of change logs· Spirit of collaboration and autonomy.· Familiar with CAB process for change management.· Fluently bilingual French and English oral and written - This role requires frequent work with teams located outside Quebec and being able to communicate with them both orally and in writing.· Candidate must have permits to work in Canada.· Hybrid mode· Greater MontrealABOUT TALTEKTALTEK is an information technology placement and consulting firm.
