The Retail Store Manager is responsible for supervising the retail team to ensure customers' needs are met by providing information on pet products and services and overseeing financial, scheduling and inventory process and procedures within the retail store.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities of the Store Manager, but are not limited to, the following:Coaching and motivating the retail team to attain sales goals, with emphasis on excellent customer service;Providing information to customers in a friendly and professional manner, when required;Overseeing inventory stocking and merchandising;Assisting customers on the sales floor, on the telephone, as well as at the registers;Recruiting, hiring, developing and retaining top management and sales talent for store;Seeking to learn and grow through personal learning and development opportunities;Following store schedule and ensuring managers are aware of potential schedule changes;Motivating team through the Ren's vision of Best in Customer Experience;Communicating clear expectations and holding the store team and themselves accountable to the highest standards;Leading and inspiring an excellent customer service culture by recognizing and rewarding team;Building effective relationships amongst team;Participating in productive management and team meetings;Recognizing performance issues in a timely manner and developing action plans for resolution;Developing and executing store business plan that will lead the store to successfully achieve budget plans;Ensuring budgets are met to include payroll management;Ensuring that all visual directives are executed seamlessly and within scheduled time frame and allotted payroll budget;Ensuring store's execution of all merchandise processing and flow to the floor in conjunction with exceptional backroom standards; andAttaining accurate inventory levels and helps reduce shrinkage.Skills and Effort RequirementsStrong interpersonal skills: pleasant, friendly style;Strong budgeting and financial experience and skills;Ability to distinguish customer's needs;Ability to coach and motivate a team;Strong verbal and written communication skills;Strong attention to detail;Ability to educate self on products and services;Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs;Bilingual;Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.Minimum Requirements· Minimum high school education or equivalent;· Degree or Diploma is considered an asset;· Minimum 2 - 5 years in customer service role;· Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in retail setting· Knowledge and/or experience with pets is considered an asset;Ability to work flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including holidays, nights and weekends.Job Type: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:Employee assistance programExtended health careOn-site parkingStore discountBonus paySchedule:8 hour shiftsMonday to FridayWeekends as needed Retail
