By fostering a dynamic learning environment, conducting cutting-edge research, and engaging in academic service activities, you will contribute to the continued success and reputation of the program and inspire the next generation of digital media and communication professionals.About the positionThe Master of Arts in Digital Media and Global Communications invites applications for faculty positions at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Professor. The appointment will commence no later than July 1, 2024.Your primary responsibility will be to design and deliver courses that provide students with a comprehensive understanding of digital media and its impact on global communications. This includes exploring theoretical frameworks, examining practical applications, and analyzing contemporary issues within the field. Your teaching approach should be dynamic, interactive, and reflective of emerging trends and technologies in digital media and global communications.The successful candidate will have the following education and experience:A Doctorate/Ph.D. in Digital Media, Communications or a related field.Teaching experience in the topics of: Multimedia Technology and Design, Intercultural Communications, Research Methods in Digital Media and Communications, Design Thinking & Digital Media, Interactive communications, Data Analytics in Digital Media, Digital Storytelling & Brands, Digital Visualization, Tools of Digital Media, Metaverse, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Neuromarketing, Quill for VR.Related industry experience and expertise in Digital Marketing, Communications, Brand Marketing etc to enhance student learning through real life scenarios and case studies.Previous teaching experience at the graduate level is a significant asset.Curriculum development experience for on-site, online and hybrid deliveryAbility to mentor and advise students in their academic and professional endeavoursThe successful candidate will demonstrate these competencies:Highly self-motivated and directed.Demonstrates effective prioritization and decision-making in high-pressure environments.Capable of handling diverse situations, multiple projects, and rapidly changing priorities.Possesses strong presentation and interpersonal skills, influencing others with empathy and political acumen.Maintains a professional manner with tact, diplomacy, and discretion when dealing with colleagues and the public.Possesses creative problem-solving abilities and exercises sound professional judgment, especially in handling confidential/sensitive matters.Displays a strong student-centric and inclusive orientation.Maintains flexibility and willingness to work outside regular business hours to meet organizational needs.What we offer The true ability to build and establish key curriculumTeaching delivery models of in-person, hybrid, and online learningCompetitive base salary4 weeks of vacationExtensive paid time off, including annual birthday leave2 paid volunteer days to support your communityExtended Health and Dental coverage, Emergency Medical Travel assistanceEmployee Family Assistance Program (EFAP)A generous Wellness Spending Account.
