The Human Resources Relationship Manager translates business needs of client groups and creates integrated Human Resources strategies and solutions to fully leverage our talent to achieve business goals. Contributes to CIBC Mellon's HR strategy by leading and executing corporate initiatives in the areas of performance management, talent management, and employee relations.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES· Executes the talent management strategy, in partnership with HR leadership, in support of organizational initiatives, including organization design, succession management, as well as the ongoing retention of talent.· Proactively builds effective and trusted relationships with senior leaders and people managers to understand their business objectives and provide consultation and coaching on people related matters. Serves as a liaison, as appropriate, between the business and the functional HR teams.· Supports the business strategy and objectives through the delivery of end-to-end HR solutions ranging from strategic initiatives to operational projects. Meets client expectations by effectively managing priorities, deliverables and ensuring HR solutions are implemented efficiently.· Drives a performance based culture by partnering with senior leaders and people managers to address performance issues, resource planning and workforce gaps.· Conducts impartial investigations, makes related findings and recommendations to both resolve and remedy breaches and communicates those findings and recommendations as appropriate. Where required, produces comprehensive investigation reports.· Provides counsel and direction for terminations and employee performance improvement and management. Develops detailed project and communication plans for terminations.· Monitors and promotes employee engagement and morale by partnering with senior leaders, people managers and employees on related initiatives and solutions and analyzing HR metrics to implement programs in support of a positive employee experience.· Incorporates change management methodology into HR planning and execution to ensure successful implementation of initiatives and projects.· Takes a leadership role on several HR initiatives, programs and policies, ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements. JOB REQUIREMENTS· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent· Minimum 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with at least 5 years in a business partner capacity· Proven ability to develop effective relationships and gain credibility across all levels of the organization· Strong consulting and influencing skills· Effective organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities· Problem solving skills, ability to determine root cause of complex issues and propose sound HR/business solutions· Ability to maintain information in confidence and exercise good judgment while making decisions· Understanding of employment-related legislation, and HR policies and programs in order to identify compliance and/or regulatory issues and to proactively provide advice and counsel to senior leaders, people managers and employees· Excellent written and verbal communication skills· Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environmentWorking Conditions Unique to Job (i.e. Standard Office Environment) Human Resources Services
