We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Security Manager to lead our security team and safeguard our assets, employees, and information.Position Overview:As the IT Security Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our security operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in security management, risk assessment, and incident response. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the safety and security of our personnel, facilities, and information.Key Responsibilities:Security Strategy and Planning:Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies and plans to safeguard company assets, personnel, and information.Conduct risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into business processes.Security Operations:Oversee day-to-day security operations, including access control, surveillance, and incident response.Monitor security systems and technologies, ensuring their effectiveness and addressing any issues promptly.Coordinate with external security vendors and law enforcement agencies as needed.Policy Development and Compliance:Develop and enforce security policies and procedures in compliance with industry regulations and standards.Stay abreast of the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve security measures.Employee Training and Awareness:Conduct regular security training for employees to enhance awareness and adherence to security protocols.Foster a culture of security consciousness and responsibility among all staff members.Incident Response and Investigation:Lead and coordinate incident response efforts in the event of security breaches or emergencies.Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, providing detailed reports and recommendations for improvement.Team Leadership and Development:Manage and mentor the security team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.Ensure proper staffing levels, training, and development of security personnel.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a related field (IT, Security Management, Cyber Security)Proven experience in security management, with a minimum of 7 years in a leadership role.In-depth knowledge of security protocols, technologies, and best practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Candidates must be able to provide a Clear Canadian Criminal RecordTechnology ExperienceCloud SecurityForensics and Threat HuntingSIEMSOAREDR (CrowdStrike, Sentinel One)Microsoft Sentinel SIEMEmail SecurityNetwork SecurityIntrusion Prevention and Detection SystemsFirewallsRelevant certifications:CISSPCISMGIAC Security Operations Certified (GSOC) Computer and Network Security,Information Services,IT Services and IT Consulting
