The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, a deep understanding of the energy industry, and a proven track record of successfully managing software products throughout their lifecycle.The Product Manager position is a highly visible and technical role within a dynamic, fast-paced, innovative software company with primary offices located in beautiful Denver, CO and Vancouver, BC. Apply now!Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with Generac Energy Services' overall goals and objectives.Product Roadmap: Define and prioritize features and enhancements for the software products based on market research, customer feedback, and business requirements.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support to drive product development and ensure successful product launches.Customer Insights: Utilize data analytics and customer feedback to gain insights into customer behavior, preferences, and pain points, and leverage these insights to inform product decisions.User Experience: Champion a user-centric approach to product development, ensuring that software products deliver an exceptional customer experience.Agile Methodologies: Implement agile methodologies to manage product development cycles, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management.Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, external partners, and customers to gather requirements, provide updates, and solicit feedback.Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes in the energy sector to identify new opportunities and mitigate risks.Performance Tracking: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the success of software products and drive continuous improvement.Compliance: Ensure that software products comply with relevant regulations, standards, and security best practices. Minimal Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field.2 to 4 years of experience in product management, preferably in the energy industry or related field.Experience with cloud-based technology stacks and software-as-a-service products.Preferred Qualifications:MBA or Masters degree in relevant field.Demonstrated proficiency in crafting compelling business cases tailored to various stakeholders and customers, effectively communicating product and market insights.Proven track record of successfully managing software products from concept to launch and beyond.Proven expertise in leveraging market analysis to gain understandings into the competitive landscape, driving informed product development decisions.Track record of successfully conceptualizing, developing, and launching innovative products through a collaborative, cross-disciplinary approach.Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Aha!).Passion for renewable energy, sustainability, and technology innovation.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.Strong technical acumen for comprehending and steering new product development within manufacturing and engineering realms.Demonstrated success in effectively managing evolving deadlines and priorities within a dynamic, fast-paced setting.Proficient in utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite to streamline tasks and enhance productivity.Proactive mindset with a knack for identifying and implementing innovative solutions to challenges.Strong ability to comprehend technical information and articulate it clearly to diverse audiences.Thrives in fast-paced environments, adept at navigating ambiguity with a proactive approach and a bias for action.Compensation: Generac is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role based in Vancouver, British Columbia is $114,000-130,000 CAD. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.Physical demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
