Salesforce Platform Developer

Location: 530 West Broadway, Vancouver BC, CanadaCore hours: Monday to Friday from 8am - 4:30pm PSTWe value collaboration, both in-person and remotely. This position is classified as Remote under our Hybrid Work Program Policy, where this position will work primarily from a home office with occasional in-person attendance.Role SummaryAs the Salesforce Platform Developer, you will work with our team of analysts, developers and stakeholders to design, develop, and implement new features and functionality for our platform and will ensure that our systems are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance. You will have a strong background in Salesforce platform development and administration capacity. As the Salesforce Platform Developer, you will report directly to the Senior Manager of Salesforce Platform & Data Analytics and will work closely with the Information Services ERP Development Team, the Information Security & Infrastructure, Marketing and Sales Teams.ResponsibilitiesMeeting with business stakeholders and translating functional requirements into technical requirements.Uses knowledge and expertise of Salesforce to ensure complete platform utilizationEnsure system control process as well as maintenance works with any necessary external vendorsProvide input to and guidance on technical design, integration, development, configuration, and customization efforts, and document as requiredProvide technical oversight, code review, and technical approval for external vendorDesign and develop technical solutions in Salesforce as well as web services development with the Salesforce API (REST/SOAP/MetaData, etc.)Design and build high-performance, reusable and reliable apex code with best practices.Follow SDLC processes and tools, Iterative Design & Prototyping (Agile)Ensuring the quality, consistency and efficiency of all Salesforce activities, including general administration, data validity, reporting, support, maintenance, and improvement of the Salesforce platform.Prepare technical specifications and detailed design documents and develop test cases.Qualifications5+ years of Salesforce development experience with Salesforce administrationExtensive experience with customization on the Salesforce Lightning platform, which should include:Lightning Components uses the Lightning Design System framework, Apex, SOQL, and declarative platform tools (Process Builder, Lightning Flows, Lightning App Builder, etc.)Salesforce administration skills (creating objects, fields, page layouts, lightning layouts, workflows, lightning flows, email templates, data loader, etc.) plus experience implementing Salesforce with other applications using SOAP, REST, BULK APIsExperience writing SOQL and SOSL queriesExperience with Salesforce OMS and Loyalty Management is a plusGood understanding of Salesforce platform governor limits with an ability to optimize code to respect those limitsExperience in working with CD/CI DevOps tools plus working knowledge in SDLC process (Agile)Knowledge of integration and headless/composable architecture as well as third-party integration tools and ETL (Such as Boomi, Jitterbit, etc.) with SalesforceAbility to write clear and detailed technical specifications and documentation plus consistently develop clean, valid markupTotal RewardsCompetitive salary, quarterly and annual bonuses based on individual and company goals100% employer-paid premiums for extended health, health spending account, wellness program, green transportation incentive, various paid time-off options available from your first day, and product discountsFocus on professional development, 1:1 meetings with your leader, tuition assistance program and length of service rewardsThe Application Please submit a resume with a cover letter.Applications are currently being reviewed.
