Program Summary Provide mission essential services to 39th Air Base Wing (Incirlik), 425th Air Base Squadron (Izmir) and 717th Air base Squadron & Office of Defense Cooperation – Turkey (Ankara) Job Summary The role involves repairing or replacing upholstery and headliners in automobiles, buses, trucks, and military vehicles. This includes removing old upholstery from seats and panels in various vehicle designs. Additionally, the position entails performing ground maintenance, manual labor, and other assigned tasks. Willingness to undertake additional labor tasks as directed by supervisors is required. Roles and Responsibilities
- Fit, install, and secure materials on frames, using hand tool, power tool, glue, or staples.
- Mount materials or workpieces onto production equipment.
- Align parts or workpieces to ensure proper assembly.
- Read work orders and apply knowledge and experience with materials to determine types and mounts of materials required to cover workpieces.
- Read work orders and other instructions to determine product specifications or materials requirements.
- Document completed work.
- Dispose, recycle, store, and transport hazardous material and/or waste products in accordance with accepted environmental practices within work center. Inform supervisor of materials consumed, and accumulated material and/or waste.
- Take instructions from shop lead and other supervisors.
- Adhere to established safety standards and practices.
- Turkish Citizenship
- High School graduate (must possess diploma.
- Valid Turkish professional driver’s license and skill to operate vehicles and equipment in a safe manner.
- Five years of experience performing upholstery work
- Proficiency in adhering to OSHA, EPA, Fire and Safety Regulations.
- Able to communicate orally, comprehend and read English at a basic level 1.
- Fulfilled Turkish Military obligation.
- 8+ years of upholstery experience.
- Experience in body and repair work, including proficiency in painting vehicles and equipment.
