The Program Director (PgD) will assume overall accountability for the portfolio of client engagements in their assigned region (AMER, EMEA or APAC). This strategic role, reporting to the VP of Program Management, will be responsible for the overall success and execution of their regional engagements, including project & customer success, regional growth and client retention. The PgD will directly manage a team of Engagement Managers and Project Managers, while collaborating with other senior leaders to ensure projects and overall portfolio objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the lifecycle of all projects within the assigned region, including initiation, planning, monitoring, control and closure. Coordinate cross-functional teams, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure successful program execution. Monitor and track portfolio progress, identifying and addressing any issues or risks that may arise during the course of business. Support the development implementation of effective communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed about program status, risks, and changes. Manage portfolio level budgets, financial resources, and expenditures, ensuring efficient and cost-effective use of resources. Facilitate decision-making processes and resolve conflicts or issues that may arise among team members or stakeholders. Conduct regular portfolio and project reviews and evaluations to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with senior management to align program goals and outcomes with overall organizational strategies. Foster a collaborative and positive team culture, promoting effective communication, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning. Identify and pursue opportunities for improved customer adoption, improvement, or innovation to drive organizational growth. Ensure project governance is consistently applied on all portfolio projects, including reporting and transparency. Preparation and presentation of Executive and Senior Leadership program reports. Line management of the assigned Engagement Managers and Project Managers. Execution of the PMO strategy, and contribution to the establishment of the standards and practices required for efficient operations.

Success Measures

Client Outcomes; effectively engage and communicate with stakeholders throughout the portfolio. Success will be measured by customer satisfaction, including sponsors, against agreed success factors. Marigold Outcomes; build strong brand reputation within the regional portfolio through consistent delivery quality and reliability. Create a “one team” environment across all engaged delivery stakeholders that encourages and nurtures strong collaboration and accountability. Financial Performance; Budgets, Forecasts, Margins adherence to target. Risk and Issue Management; Identify, assess and mitigate risks and issues within the regional portfolio and the broader Marigold business. Success is measured by the effectiveness of the risk management process and the ability to promptly address these, minimizing their impact on the portfolio. Team Performance; contribute to the standards definition, and performance management, of all direct reports to agreed standards of professional project delivery and governance. Continuous Improvement; identify opportunities for continuous improvement, implement lessons learned across the portfolio projects (all regions), and drive continuous improvement in program and project management processes.

Requirements

A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, project management, engineering, or a related discipline is required. 15+ years of experience in project management or program management roles are required. Experience in a leadership or managerial role is also desirable. SaaS Software Expertise: Strong understanding of SaaS software delivery processes, project lifecycle, and related resource requirements. Commercially focussed, with a strong entrepreneurial attitude. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills. Strong problem solving skills, with a growth mindset, and the ability to convert strategy into action. Relevant professional qualifications such as PMP, Prince2, MSP.
