JOB OBJECTIVE The role of the Field Support Engineer is to provide excellent assistance to subcontractors and to our customers through performing/overseeing engineering and technical support and training, preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections and securing a high level of performance of the radars needs and performance. The role may involve working at overseas location(s) in support of the Customer deployment team or frequently at remote client locations and may involve being exposed to inhospitable climatic conditions. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attend the training sessions in UAE for our customer’s operators and maintainers
  • Perform Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
  • Prepare and follow up various inspections
  • Oversee the tasks performed by the maintenance staff
  • Monitor that correct services and repair procedures are implemented and advice as necessary
  • Utilize technical publications and embedded training to develop on-the-job-training procedures
  • Support the development of the operational capabilities
  • Provide to our customer Technical support
  • Provide support on site deployment/installation
  • Assist in the implementation of new software patches received from THALES or subcontractor/s and reviews results with supervisors for necessary following up
  • Oversee supply chain activities to maintain KPIs within limits
  • Report to LMW Manager
  • Perform other related duties as required.

  • One (1) year of line maintenance experience preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and follow written procedures and instructions
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude along with basic computer skills
  • Prior experience in installing electronic and/or mechanical systems
  • Experience in using Computer and other office equipment
  • Experience in using Digital Multi-meter and mechanical tools
QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications/Electronics Experience in Radar or Radio Technology
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Intermediate ability to use Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to, Outlook Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent initiative, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Autonomy, excellent verbal and written skills in English
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions and directions
  • Ability to summarize and effectively present information to Manager and Customers
  • Ability to work on complex problems scope and analyze data/situations
  • Ability to crawl, bend, kneel, climb, and stop frequently in confined spaces
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
  • Will be required to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge in Electricity/Electronics
  • Must speak, read and write English fluently
  • Regular attendance and punctuality is required
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver License
  • Intermediate computer skills with previous exposure to a Computerised Maintenance Management System
