Must Have

  • A preferred qualification in a Master's degree in Business Administration or Engineering Management.
  • Candidates with PMP, Six Sigma, or CFA certifications are preferred.
  • The ideal candidate should have 8 to 12 years of project management experience, including Mega and JV projects, with over 5 years of experience in petrochemicals, business management, project management, and technology management.
  • They should be familiar with Project Gating systems and project deliverables for Mega Projects, have a deep understanding of regional requirements for new greenfield and brownfield investments, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with the Gating system for Mega Projects is a plus, along with demonstrated expertise in project management in chemical plants.
  • Leadership, people management, organization, planning, quantitative, and analytical skills are also essential.
Job Purpose
  • Lead the initial development stage of large-scale Petrochemicals SBU Brownfield mega projects with a budget exceeding $50 million, starting from Gate-0 and continuing through the project feasibility phase, including Joint Venture capital projects.
  • Oversee the progress of mega projects from development to completion, ensuring they stay on track and within target timelines by monitoring, reporting, and intervening as necessary.
  • Investment Committee approvals at Gate 2, Gate 4, and the EPC Award recommendation (Final Investment Decision).
  • Develop a 5-year and 10-year business plan for both capital expenditures (CapEX) and operating expenses (OpEX) for the mega project.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and collaborate with functions and project Steering Committees to develop project deliverables.
