The main role of the Wireline Sr Field Engineer is to provide the support as leader of a Wireline crew to Prepare the required equipment in the shop with his crew asigned for the job, Supervise and lead the execution of the job on field. In addition, help to generate businesses on field to increase revenues through sales of Weatherford products and services. Responsibilities and duties: OPERATIONS Employee must operate in a safely manner, promoting safety and contributing to work in a safe environment for him and his crew. Support with calibration and verification of tools coming out from Lab with preventive maintenance completed. Select and check tools for the assigned job with his designated crew. Supervise the preparation, checklists and loadout of the job assigned including equipment and crew. Manage the assets and personnel during operations offshore Recommend measures to improve methods, performance, and quality to increase efficiency. Accurate and thorough completion of job reports in a timely basis. Know and understand Weatherford Excellence Policies and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions. Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford. Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level. Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job. COMMUNICATION: Maintain communication and contacts to collect and analyze technical, financial, marketing, schedule, and sales information for the wireline product line Provide direct support to customers for critical new technology services Promote Weatherford’s new technology within the industry by writing technical papers, attending industry conferences, contributing to the development of technical marketing material, making technical sales presentations to customers, and providing other technical support to sales and operations Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external FINANCIAL Manages the costs and client charges upon completion of field jobs, generating client ticket without mistakes and have it signed. Understand basic finacials to keep profitability and cost controls during the operations. Define and monitor relevant KPI’s to identify areas of improvement and drive operational improvements All employees have an accountability to the organization to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT Maintain the training requirements in line with competency assessments Employees have a responsibility for developing their own careers within the Company including completing all necessary function training to enhance their skills and experience Employees must complete all assigned Compliance & Company Standards training Employees should engage on a regular basis with their line manager to discuss their personal performance, objectives and opportunities to enhance their skills and experience to support their career potentialQualifications
- Minimum 5+ years Wireline experience
- 2-3 years experience at Wireline Senior Engineer level
- Competent in basics CH Wireline service such as but not limited to Cement Evaluation, Perforating, tractoring, setting tools, Pipe Recovery
- Competent in basics OH services such as Triple Combo, Sonic, imaging and formation testing.
- Basic knowledge of Geology and Oil & Gas reservoirs to be applied when logging with wireline tools and support client during operation.
- Engineering degree. Preferred degree within Petroleum-, Mechanical-, Chemical- or Industrial Engineering
- General Wireline knowledge
- General mechanical ability
- Self-motivator, self-starter
- Good communication skills
