We're one global team driven by our common purpose to deliver a better world. Join us. Job Description AECOM is seeking a Structures Lead for an Aviation program in KSA. The ideal candidate will work of part of the AECOM PMC team as the Structural Lead with responsibility for managing design processes and leading design reviews for structural aspects of the program. The individual will have overall responsibility for structural aspects of the program and inter-discipline coordination of all technical issues with other discipline leads including Architectural, Civil, Utilities, Environmental, Master Planning, Traffic, etc. from initial concept design through to the construction phase. The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Lead all structural engineering design reviews for the program.
- Interface with the Client, Consultants, and Contractors throughout the design development process.
- Ensure the Consultant’s structural design is completed in accordance with the contract guidelines and design documents.
- Establish structural scope, work plan and work schedule in support of the Engineering Director.
- Comply with Client’s safety in design program and policies.
- Manage more junior engineers, designers and/or specialists towards development of structural design documents and contract deliverables with minimal guidance or supervision.
- Assure conformance with contractual obligations by ensuring that design documents are reviewed and approved prior to release to the client.
- Ensure that QA/QC procedures are being implemented and ensure the technical quality of deliverables.
- Incorporate innovation in design and delivery.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or similar field with 15 years of relevant experience in design, design management and construction.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered status (preferred).
- Experience with alternative delivery methods or projects with early contractor involvement.
- Previous experience serving as Design Manager or Structural Discipline Lead Engineer on Aviation projects.
