The Role The Principal Advisor role is a critical position in the Digital Advisory Services business unit. We believe that business transformation isn’t just about introducing new technology: it’s a business-wide, connected, set of changes that disrupt every part of an organisation. Our job is to help guide our clients through that process and to give them the support they need to succeed. As a Principal Advisor you will be entrusted by a number of clients, with ownership of the delivery of strategic engagements. You will be competent with modern “DevOps” engineering practices and understand how teams need to operate to effectively deliver technology solutions of value. You will be confident in leading architectural and cloud modernisation reviews, working closely with engineers from a broad range of disciplines to provide solid recommendations that are investable and measurable in their impact. Your familiarity with the professional services environment and your commercial sense and understanding of the dynamics of utilisation, day rates, margins and mark-ups will all be important components of this role. The position will support Digital Advisory Services with their efforts to bring in significant new business, and will help to grow, reinforce and strengthen our advisory practices. With an interest in attracting the best engineering and consulting talent, this role includes proactively promoting ClearPoint and supporting recruitment. You’ll enable individuals to tackle difficult challenges effectively whilst also supporting the professional development of the team. As the technology world continues to rapidly evolve your tolerance for change must be high. We’re looking for a pragmatic, self-motivated team player who is keen on continuous learning as well as helping others in their sphere of influence. What we are looking for - A strong alignment with ClearPoint’s values. - Extensive consulting expertise in professional services, with a background in supporting clients with complex technical issues. - Exceptional relationship building skills and strong people management. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as impactful presentation ability. - Able to plan and facilitate workshops to understand client challenges and collaboratively define solutions. - Senior experience in client delivery management and client operations – in particular with regard to designing, building and deploying engineering solutions. - A strong understanding of software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps practices/capabilities. - Solid experience with modern software delivery practices and methodologies including agile ways of working.
