Aga Khan University chartered in 1983 as Pakistan's first private international university, is committed to the provision of education, research, and health care of international standards relevant to Pakistan and the region. The affiliated Aga Khan University Hospital has well-equipped investigative services and provides state-of-the-art clinical facilities. The Centre for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research (CRM) is one of the most ambitious and mission-critical initiatives at AKU. Established in 2016, in collaboration with the Eli and Edythe Broad Center for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research, University of California San Francisco (UCSF), CRM is now part of the Medical College, based at the Aga Khan University campus in Pakistan. This is a grant-funded contractual positionResponsibilities
You will be responsible for:- conducting wet lab-supervised research related to the project
- conducting daily, weekly, and monthly inventory of consumables/reagents required for the team
- keeping records of procurement, follow-ups, receipts of supplies, etc
- participating in weekly project meetings, journal clubs, research-in-progress meetings, and delivering presentations as directed by the assigned faculty
- assisting with the writing of manuscripts, annual reports, and others
- any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
You should have:- MPhil degree in the field of Biological Science, MBBS, BDS, or DVM with lab-based research experience will also be considered
- minimum one year of experience in wet laboratory work
- strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks assigned by the faculty
- essential command of Microsoft Office
- excellent communication skills including fluency in English speaking and writing.
