Senior Design Engineer

Job Description :  Engineering Development and Project: - Responsible for meeting Department’s Project specification which need to Carry out detailed mechanical design work include 3D modelling simulation and design verification (physical in-house testing) as required. Include Mechanical part selection and standardizing it based on material obsolescence, availability, and cost. - Responsible for preparing and presenting designs to his superior prior for management review. With the inclusion of highlighting all technical risk on the design. - Responsible to carry out a design change and standardising design when deemed necessary (e.g.: concept design, components, jigs, and fixtures) - Responsible to coordinate and liaise with relevant internal / external PIC’s to prepare drawings / tooling / manuals needed to ensure products are manufactured as per design expectation in a timely manner. - Responsible for checking drawings and validating designs prior for presenting to superior. Includes frequent reporting progress on all task to his/her superior. - Responsible to work closely with supplier, operation, QA/QC and production to ensure products are manufacture as per design expectation. - Responsible for documenting every information during design stage and approval of design on each project. And to ensure the files are up-to-date according to ISO 9001 standards   Others: - Take responsibility for coaching and supporting Design engineers in design techniques and departmental process. Includes check and approve of their Design work and task. - Responsible to manage all scope and assigned task in a timely manner based on his superior and company expectation. - Able to work on a minimal supervision and always has a sense of urgency using Practical and Creative thinking in all works. - Additional job scope will be assigned by his superior or management as and when is necessary.   Job Requirements : - Must have Degree in Engineering, preferable Mechanical engineering - With an experience of at least 5 years on related field - Familiar with material specification, technical process, and fabrication process - Expert in SolidWork in any version - Familiar with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office   Benefits :  Mobile Allowance Clinic Allowance Optical/Dental All.
