Apply locations Field Based US - West Coast Princeton, NJ time type Full time posted on Posted 12 Days Ago job requisition id JOB ID-09888 As the Senior Director of Business Development Biologics US East Coast, you will play a pivotal role in driving our business growth within the biopharmaceutical / CDMO industry. You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders. Your primary focus will be on the partnering of Just-Evotec Biologics’ contract CMC and GMP manufacturing capabilities in the US East Coast market. By working closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to our overall business strategy and ensure the successful achievement of sales targets and revenue goals. This position is at the center of one of the company’s focus areas for growth and you will be critical in helping identify, evaluate, and translate opportunities in the marketplace. In this role, the candidate will report to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Business Development Biologics US East Coast. Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the US East Coast Area, targeting biotech and biopharmaceutical companies in need of contract CMC and GMP manufacturing services for their biologic drug candidates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in client organizations, including business development leads and project managers.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including scientific, technical, and operations teams, to develop tailored solutions that meet client requirements and align with our capabilities.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and proposal development in close collaboration with the legal and finance teams, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for both parties.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities for differentiation and strategic partnerships.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote our capabilities and build a strong professional network.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, market insights, and business development reports to senior management, highlighting progress, opportunities, and challenges.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, Ph.D., or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in business development within the biopharmaceutical or CDMO industry, ideally with a focus on the US East Coast market.
  • In-depth knowledge of the biotech and biopharmaceutical landscape, including an understanding of drug discovery & development processes, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
  • Strong network of contacts within the biotech and biopharmaceutical community in the US East Coast Area is a plus.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific and technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple internal and diverse teams and departments to develop client-centric solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze market data, assess competitive landscapes, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events (approximately 30% travel)
The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $ 138,600 to $200,000 ; Base salary offered may vary depending on individual’s skills, experience and competitive market value.
