Job Description • Perform engineering design tasks for roadway and site civil projects from conceptual design to final design. This includes having a good working knowledge of the entire project life cycle. • Develop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages • Have a strong working knowledge of roadway design software tools • Mentor and develop junior staff while providing valuable input into design Best Practices. • Have a positive team-oriented attitude • Lead and coordinate design activities between staff, subcontractors, and clients • Identify schedule and cost variances and develop recommendations for corrective action • Participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling performance • Coordinate the planning, staffing, scheduling, budget management, quality control, safety and organization of subcontractors and internal technical and support staff • Maintain a close relationship with clients and track upcoming project opportunities and collaborate on project pursuits, if needed.
