With some of the best-known brands in the world, Siemens has stood for engineering excellence, innovation, quality, and reliability for more than 165 years.We're looking for a **Software Development Engineer **to join our **mPower R&D** **team **with **D2S Calibre Engineering division **in **Cairo, Egypt**.mPower is a Siemens brand-new product for EM/IR power analysis market and is the EDA industry's first and only solution offering EM/IR power integrity analysis for analog, digital, and mixed-signal IC designs of any size.**Main Responsibilities**- Design, improve, implement, and release software that meets functionality, usability, reliability, performance, and supportability requirements.- Interface with other software developers as needed to understand and manage interdependencies of project tasks, product, and flow integration issues.- Participate in reviews and/or inspections of, designs, specifications, and code.- Participate in project planning and tracking, task investigation, work breakdown, and schedule estimation while keeping project stakeholders informed of project risks and status.- Collaborate with Marketing & QA teams to understand and support customer needs and requirements.- Write and maintain functional and design specification documents.- Work with different software technologies to achieve business objectives.**Required skills, knowledge, and experience**- B.Sc in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Computer Science.- Hands-on experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) using C/C++.- Solid knowledge of software algorithms and data structures.- Knowledge in Design Patterns and Agile development methodologies is preferred.- Working experience in Unix/Linux operating system environments is a huge plus!- Knowledge of scripting languages (Tcl, Python, etc.) is a plus!- Team player, dynamic, persistent, and quick learner with excellent problem-solving skills.- Highly developed **communication** skills, including the ability to present ideas and share your knowledge with others.We offer a comprehensive reward package which includes a competitive basic salary, bonus scheme, and generous holiday allowance.Siemens is an equal opportunities employer and do not discriminate unlawfully on any grounds.
