As the Account Director, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and support to clients in driving short-term sales and building long-term brand value.**What you'll be doing**:- Exercise overall quality control over accounts and ensure successful implementation of client objectives- Build and maintain internal processes and relationships to efficiently meet client needs- Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and objectives, set strategies, and ensure execution- Anticipate opportunities and plan for the unexpected- Foster constructive work environment and teamwork within the account team- Train and motivate team members by developing their abilities- Manage financial upkeep of the account by ensuring efficiency and undertaking financial negotiations- Act as a strategic partner to the account's planner by bringing insightful and relevant information to development- Regularly report to Business Director on daily operations of the account- Understand customer requirements and generate new business- Ensure timely delivery of services and products to clients- Resolve issues to maintain and strengthen customer trust- Communicate overall quarterly/annual progress to senior management and external stakeholders**What you'll need**:- BS/BA in marketing or advertising specialization- Minimum 6 years of experience in Account Management within an agency- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office- Excellent project management and time management skills- Exceptional presentation and writing skills- Ability to judge creative and provide effective feedback- Attention to detail and strong communication skills- Flexibility and problem-solving skills- Resourceful in finding information- Understanding and appreciation of great advertising and good creative judgment- General awareness of society and interest in brands- Entrepreneurial spirit and team player- Demonstrable experience in negotiation and meeting client requirements- Solid understanding of budgeting and reporting on progress- Willingness to travel upon requestLI-HH1At VML, we are committed to fostering an all-inclusive work environment that is both rewarding and career-forward.
