Avantor is looking for an Electrical Engineer (f/m/d) to join our growing team in Tilburg! Want to work on innovative products that really have an impact? This is the role for you! As an Electrical Engineer, you will create technical drawings, specifications, and product-related engineering documentation for the Single-Use Hardware Systems that are used by our Biopharma customers. You will design, fabricate, assemble or test electrical, mechanical, or other components and devices. Through cross-functional collaboration and iterations, you will help meet the quality and performance criteria set by the customer. Working hours: Monday-Friday, 08:30-17:00, home office availability after successful probation (1-2 days/week)How you will thrive and have an impact Perform design, engineering, and technical documentation creation (such as electrical drawings, technical specifications, component lists, and other basic engineering documentation) activities of the electrical structures of various bespoke Single Use Systems Hardware. Provide support in proposal stages by developing conceptual designs of electrical systems to meet user requirements; as well as preliminary cost calculations of created concepts. Develop and maintain specification documents of all electrical components and installation processes. Manage vendors and subcontractors to get their timely contribution to the project. Review vendor and subcontractors' designs and implement them in the hardware design and application. Write detailed test-, and validation plans to ensure compliance with related regulations and to meet customer requirements during virtual testing (simulations) and real-world testing (FAT, SAT, etc.). Participate in field testing (pre-FAT) and validation steps (FAT, SAT, etc.) of bespoke hardware projects. Prepare spare part lists and preservation reports. Assist field support engineers in resolving customer complaints; notify management of problems and suggest corrective actions. Develop and describe standards and working methods for detailed engineering and commissioning. Contribute to internal tests and trials for R&D and development projects. What we are looking for Education: Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Electrical Engineering or Software/Automation Engineering OR related technical education and several years experience in a similar position Experience: Demonstrated work experience with the design and build of electrical components or devices, ideally within pharma or the medical devices industry. Skills: Ability to design using electronic CAD software tools is required (E-Plan, AutoCAD-Electrical, etc.) Ability to create, read, understand, and assess electrical drawings Ability to make electrical and instrumentation control design (concept & detailed design), costing, estimation, and quotations Experience with field testing & validation steps (like FAT, SAT, etc.) and troubleshooting activities Demonstrated problem-solving skills Business fluency in English Technical knowledge & understanding of P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams) and familiarity with pneumatics and pneumatic control logic is preferable but not a must. This role is offered on a full-time, one-year contract basis that can be extended to a permanent contract after mutual agreement.
