Structural Engineer About Us: They are a growing structural engineering consultancy, providing professional building design services across a wide range of sectors, including residential, industrial, educational, rail, and water industries. Based in Lancashire, their tight-knit team is expanding due to an increase in workload, and is looking for skilled engineers to join them. Role Overview: They are seeking a Structural Engineer to support the design of structural steelwork, timber, and reinforced concrete structures across various domestic, commercial, and industrial projects. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of senior engineers, conducting site visits, completing technical drawings, and contributing to the design and assessment of structures. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting site visits to survey structural proposals and measure site dimensions.
  • Structural design of steelwork, timber, and reinforced concrete for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
  • Structural detailing using AutoCAD.
  • Reviewing CAD technician drawings.
  • Responding to technical queries and providing guidance where necessary.
  • Proficiency in TEKLA design software, including TEDDS, Structural Designer, and Connection Designer (training provided).
  • Carrying out structural surveys and assessments, producing technical reports (training available if needed).
Requirements:
  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Tekla TEDDs, and Tekla Structural Designer.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to attend various sites once trained.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, dynamic team.
Salary & Benefits:
  • Permanent, full-time position (37.5 hours per week).
  • Competitive salary between £37,500 and £42,500 per annum (depending on experience).
  • 28 days of annual holiday (including bank holidays).
