First established in the 1987, Out Doors Inc has supported Victorians through their participation in nature-based Mental Health programs. The programs are group-based and they foster social connections and promote mental wellbeing. They also boost self-confidence and are tailored to meet the unique needs of each participant. Immersion in nature can be transformative no matter who you are. It is not often that we describe an organisation as having an exceptional culture but that is one of the features that sets Out Doors Inc apart. With the recent appointment of a full-time COO, their long-standing CEO has chosen to step down and make way for a new visionary leader who is able to build on the impressive achievements to date and take the organisation even further. The role will focus on building new and preserving existing external relationships while maintaining stewardship of the organisation’s financial and regulatory performance. To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

• Experience leading a community-based service provider
• Authentic, collaborative and supportive leadership
• A strategic, creative and innovative mindset
• Exceptional stakeholder relationships
• Understanding of government block funding and NDIS requirements

The organisation has a hybrid working arrangement, coming together at least once a week to encourage connectedness, team culture, and free flow of information. They are very agile in addressing market changes and have the infrastructure to ensure they maintain regulatory compliance. Due to growth, there is a vibrant mix of new starters and longer-term employees who have helped develop new ideas and ways of meeting client needs.
