Project Engineer

We are looking for a Project Engineer to support the delivery of capital projects at Quality Bakers manufacturing site in East Tamaki – New Zealand's largest plant bakery. You will support and lead successful delivery of capital projects including replacement equipment; automation of packing and various other smaller plant upgrades. Key accountabilities of the role include:

• Maintain strict scope controls to protect the project capital cost and scheduling of KPIs
• Provide regular reports to stakeholders with written updates and site project meetings
• Support with procurement including tender, bid evaluation, pre-award and award, including contract management through supply, installation and commission
• Oversee Scope of Work, Technical Performance Specifications and cost estimation

Note: This is a fixed-term role for 12 months. There is a potential to extend the contract if further capital projects are approved. About You In order to make this role a success we are looking for a qualified Engineer with experience in delivering projects in the Baking or Food Manufacturing industries. Other experience and qualifications we are looking for include:

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Automation or Electrical), preferably with a post-graduate qualification in Manufacturing or Project Management
• Solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP)
• Experience with AutoCAD for 2D layouts and P&IDs
• Prior experience of projects within Baking, Services or Environmental
