2026 Treasury Graduate Development Program - Indigenous Affirmative Measure How To Apply To apply, please visit: Applications close 11:30pm (AEDT) Monday 14 April 2025. We are seeking collaborative and highly motivated Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people to make a direct impact in the way government develops and implements economic policies for Australia, as well as those relating to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities. Through this Indigenous Affirmative Measure process, we are committed to making graduate positions accessible to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islanders. While merit remains the basis for selection, engagement and promotion, this process is only open to people of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage. As a Treasury graduate, you’ll have access to rewarding career opportunities in an Australian government central agency, exposure to meaningful work in several areas of the department, and the opportunity to work on policies that shape the Australian economic landscape and make a difference to all Australians. The Treasury Graduate Development Program runs for 2 years, with 3x 8-month rotations in different work areas, allowing you to gain experience across the department. As a Treasury graduate you will contribute to work that informs key Australian economic policy in areas including:
- markets
- macroeconomics
- revenue
- fiscal
- international and foreign investment
- small business and housing
- corporate and law
- research
- analysis
- briefing
- coordination
- advice
- support on policies and initiatives related to existing and emerging government priorities.
